I have had a lot of fun working with my current class of seniors. It is my first fully enrolled cohort of 20 students since I launched my independent practice in 2022. Some of these students have been with me since sophomore year, and it has been so rewarding to observe their growth and to help them tell their application stories.
The first round of Early Action and Early Decision results are in (they'll continue to come in through the end of the month, and I'll update.)
I'm so delighted that students took my advice, crafted balanced, thoughtful lists, and took advantage of good, non-binding Early Action options to receive decisions before the holiday/ winter break. It is such a relief to have an option or two in hand, and enjoy the break before the last semester of high school. For students who aimed well at a great-fit ED option, the process is entirely over! In our house, our senior has his ED admission in hand, and we are celebrating!
Obviously, there are disappointments in some of the early results, but we are forging ahead with plans prepared for that eventuality, with most application work for apps due after the new year already finished!
Here is a list of the schools offering admission to this awesome, diverse cohort of students from all over the US as of now-- several of them with substantial scholarships, up to $40,000 a year.
