Here are a few resources for finding summer programs. I'll update as more come my way!
A reminder: "pay to play" programs can be helpful in understanding potential future pathways or deepening engagement and skill sets in areas of interest, but they don't necessarily translate to college admission weight, even if they are hosted at a college. That doesn't mean that they aren't worthwhile! However, if a student has interests they can pursue in an organic, self-motivated, authentic way, that use of time is immensely valuable, both for the student's growth and for college admission consideration.
Also, be wary of expensive "research" programs for high school students. Despite what you hear from Facebook parent groups and unethical/ uninformed independent counselors, it is not a realistic expectation that high school students engage in significant academic research, Sometimes it happens, but it is extremely rare and usually born out of a combination of good luck, being in the right place, and having personal connections, The programs that advertise to families of teens are typically money-makers for graduate students working toward PhDs, and the program organizers take a big cut as "middlemen."
